Please be aware of a new Phishing Scheme: Scammers are utilizing a phone dialer system to start calling random phone numbers in small communities whether they are customers of the bank they are targeting or not. The initial message is: “This call is from the XYZ Bank Security Department. We are calling to notify you that there has been a potential breach on ATM and/or Debit cards on our system. In order to determine if your card has been compromised, please call this number (XXX) XXX-XXXX.” When you call, you are asked to enter your Card and PIN information. Please never respond to unsolicited e-mails or phone calls asking you to verify personal information. If you should ever receive a request for your personal information, please contact the bank at the number found on your statement, the bank's website or found on other information provided by the bank.
